Don’t get caught with your FBML App disappearing from Facebook’s Fanpages.
If you see this image then you have an old FBML fanpage.
Per Facebook’s roadmap developer information the FBML App will be discontinued on June 6th.
One of the other changes is that your IFrame pages have to be on a secure server, which for our clients we have that setup, so you do not have to purchase an SSL certificate, unless you choose to do so.
As we know Facebook loves to change things and with the new timeline, there have been many changes.
With the new timeline the cover images, portfolio images and tab or app images come more into play in guiding those visiting your fanpage.
New Cover images come with new rules and may not contain:
- Contact information, such as web address, email, phone number or other information intended for your Page’s about section.
- Price or purchase information, such as “50% off” or “Special on our website”
- References such as Like or Share, or any other Facebook site features
- Calls to action, such as “Get it now” or “Click Below” “Share with friends”
- Covers must not be false, deceptive or misleading.
- This space is not meant for promotions, coupons, or advertisements.
- Your cover photo should not be primarily text-based or infringe on anyone else’s copyright

Wondering what type of dropbox reviews are out her on the internet? Well, you have found the right place for both. I’ve been using dropbox now for about a little over a year and just love it.
Dropbox is the best thing since a terabyte hard drive! It helps make life easier for my clients & me!
I don’t know about you, but when there are large files to send (like videos) it used to be a challenge. I find though that dropbox is easy to use. Just like saving a file in a folder, or copying one file to another folder. The great thing is it comes with 2GB free storage.
Now you don’t have to wonder if your email ever got there because the file size was too big or it went into a spam folder and your recipient missed it. It just shows up in the other persons dropbox that you both share.
As an Online Business Assistant I use this a lot with my clients. They are loving it too… and I say if something helps your life flow smoother then that is a good thing.
I found out about this because one of my assistants had been using it and then I set out to check out the dropbox reviews and then decided to get dropbox and try it out. Well, the rest is history and now all my clients are using it and find it very helpful.
My clients now can take a video and just plop it right in dropbox and I have access to it so the video editing can begin… adding music, titles, their websites and getting it ready for publishing on YouTube or through Traffic Geyser.

The other day on Facebook I left a comment about using an antispam solution called SpamArrest which helps stop spam. Michael Stelzner from WhitePages and Social Media Summit (which was awesome) asked if anyone was noticing a ton of spam emails.
Well, when I started my internet business in 1999 it wasn’t too bad, however, within 2 years I was receiving 1000 emails in my inbox when I awoke in the a.m. Not to mention the barrage of spam all day long.
I did not want to miss an important email in the midst of all the spam, plus all the time & energy it took. So, I started to search for something that would protect me from spam. I found SpamArrest which has worked great for me for the last 8 years and my clients love it too.
Some spam filters block out your messages and you can’t even see what didn’t come through and leaves you wondering if you missed something. When you are in business this is very important.
The way SpamArrest works is when someone sends you an email they get a verification email which they have to respond to and this authorizes them as a verified sender.
The other emails go into your “Unverified” folder where you can view these or search for a name or subject. All you do is checkmark the box to the emails you want verified and click authorize and their email is added to your verified list and will come through as verified. Plus, you can even pre-authorize your clients by entering in their email address and pressing the “Authorize” button.
Tip for spam prevention: Remember when creating your website or blog to use a contact form and not your email address, as this is how your email gets out there for unauthorized use!
I only recommend that which I know works well and hope you found this article helpful in finding a way to stop spam email and eliminate spam from using up your time and energy.

Have you been wondering how to add Twitter to your Facebook account? I looked for that myself and set this up a few months ago. Well, tonight I was on Twitter, looking at people and I saw someone with the first name of “Cora” and, that being my nickname, I viewed her profile and saw Cora Whittington on Twitter asking the question “Does anyone know how to link Twitter messages to Facebook & LinkedIn?”
Thinking to myself, I know the answer for linking Facebook and Twitter, plus I will find out and do another post for LinkedIn (just joined last week). Thank You Cora for the inspiration to do a blog post!
I’ve been setting up my clients on Facebook and just needed to add the Twitter application for one of them… Talk about timing! So here goes…
#1 – Log in to your Facebook account.
#2 - Find the Search Box (top right) and enter Twitter.
There will be a few searches that come up. Usually the one you want is first. It will say under Matches “Application Name” – Click “View Application”
#3 – Click “Go To Application”
#4 - Click “Allow Access”
#5 – Enter Your Twitter Login & Password
#6 - Click Allow Twitter to Update Your Facebook Status & Agree to Authorize Access
(You can do this or not, just depend on what you would like)

I was reading in todays WebProWorld newsletter about Blogs vs Forums and they indicate that after 7 years and 13,000 posts that built this forum, many of his pages are in the sandbox… Pointing out that by doing a simple post on their niche market using a WordPress blog found them virtually instant recognition on the first page of SERP’s. Does it make sense now on how to get more traffic to your website? If you don’t quite get it, that’s ok… this is where a skilled virtual assistant can help you.
I’ve been trying to get across to my clients how important blogging is. Thank goodness some do get it and are willing to do what it takes to keep a blog active. Some do not get it and want to complain about no traffic. All I can say is to get more traffic to your website, blogging can help. You have to invest the time to help create natural traffic.
Blogging consists of different pieces. Keywords are very important and the main ones should be placed in certain areas of your article where the search engines tend to read them. With these keywords, be sure to add them to your keyword area in WordPress, called “Tags”… I’ve seen time and time again where that tag will pull an article to the front page of a search engine.
You might think that you are done by just posting an article… Well, you are not quite done yet. You need to do social bookmarking and that takes time too. Third step which some do is article submission. All these together create a win – win solution.
We help our clients post, bookmark and do article submission so they can focus on what they need to do and leave the techie things to us. This way they find their way into the search engines, as the goal is traffic and whether you advertise doing PPC or getting listed in natural listings, for your business to be successful online or offline, you need traffic.
We have an eBook and video tutorials on posting articles and social bookmarking for our clients in helping them be successful after their WordPress blog is built.
Remember having focused intention and then taking action to create what you desire is so important. Then continuing by posting once to twice a week keeps your blog active and in the search engines.
Don’t give up… You do not get anywhere from giving up. Be sure to do your research on your niche market, be sure to use the right keywords.

However, you don’t take risks blindly; you must be able to calculate them. By properly calculating the risks, you can determine if the risks are worth taking or not. If you think that by taking the risk you will gain more for the business, don’t be afraid to accept it. If you don’t put one of your foot forward, your business will not go anywhere.
Everything does not end in thinking alone. If you simply think and think, you will not achieve anything. But if you think and act, you will certainly reach the peak of success. Action is truly needed to put all your thoughts to action. You must be able to come up with well-intentioned objectives and your actions should be focused.
Now you know that the mindset of the individual is very important in order to become one of the successful entrepreneurs. If you think that you don’t possess the proper mindset, you must learn to develop it as soon as possible especially if you want to handle a business in the future.
By exerting some effort to develop your mindset, you can succeed. Being an entrepreneur is not that hard especially if you possess the right qualities, skills, and most specially – the proper mindset.
